Common Questions

Cremation prices are based upon the size of your pet. All private cremations are returned in a wooden urn with your pet's name and date of death wood burned on the box; the box is included in the price of the private cremation. Please call us for a specific price based upon the weight of your pet.
Our customary turn around time to return a private cremation to you is 5 - 7 days. Frequently, our return time is shorter than that, and we can make special compensation if needed. We also offer a 24 hour turn around option for an additional fee. Please call us to get a price for this service.
Communal (group) cremations are buried in our back pasture. You are welcome to come visit your companion's final resting place. Please call so we can be sure someone is present to show you around.
Pet crematories are not required to have any special certification to operate. However, all crematories are monitored by the EPA closely. We also carry a CANA (Cremation Association of North America) certification thru our owner Chuck, as he has a long history in the funeral and cremation business.
We 100% guarantee the private cremation ashes you receive back are your pet's ashes. When we receive your pet, he/she is immediately logged into our intake log. We keep a separate cremation log in which we enter each pet when the cremation occurs. Each private pet is assigned a cremation number and a metal disc follows your pet thru the cremation process, never leaving your pet. It is returned to you in the wooden urn when we return your pet to you. Basically, Chuck has taken every legal step required in the human cremation process, and brought it to our pet business.
Strict regulations prohibit cremating animals and humans using the same equipment. If a funeral home offers pet cremation, they have invested in separate equipment. It's best to give PennyLane a call for your pet cremation needs.
